B1 business visa is given to an alien who does not wish to change citizenship but requires permission to enter in to the U.S. on prospective business grounds without receiving any salary or payment for the visit. He spends his own money towards such visit.

The main criteria that the B1 business visa should satisfy is:-

Will leave the U.S. after the sanctioned period of stay.

Has no intention to leave his citizenship of his nation.

Should prove he has a permanent place to reside in his country, is not a terrorist or refugee.

Proof of a dependent family to which they are tied to.

Proof of a strong work which they have established and do not wish to leave.

The B1 business visa is given to applicants who can show enough liquid funds in their bank balances to prove that they are not in need of employment while in the U.S, to meet their expenditure. He should show enough proof like enough funds to cover the air tickets, funds to cover food expenses, funds to cover resident lodge or motel expenses, funds to cover travel expenses, funds to cover medical needs and an insurance coverage during this travel with B1 business visa permit.

The trip should be catalyzed by valid proof for business analyses that is not illegal by the law. The business activity as requested should show possible needs for personal visit as reported by the applicant.

Some of the people who are eligible for a B1 visa are:

International businessmen who are exploring investment options in the U.S.

Any foreign employee entering in to the U.S. to provide counsel or seminar on behalf of their corporation.

International businessmen who are exploring the U.S. market to do a market survey for business needs.

Any foreign employee of international corporations entering the U.S. to request treaty services or to negotiate business terms.

The consulate has the right to deny any B1 business visa application in case or events where they doubt the motive of the applicant. The applicant can in no way appeal further in case he is denied any B1 business visa.

The B1 business visa may be issued for a maximum of 5 years; however, it is mostly issued for 6 months period or even less as need requests. B1 business visa can be renewed or extended for a further period of 6 months, but not more than a maximum of 12 month stay.
