US Visas

United States Visas are mandatory to work and stay in the U.S.

Visa Waiver program is offered to selected country citizens to travel and live in the U.S. for 90 days without visa.

B-1 visa, for non U.S. businessmen visiting U.S., exploring business options without monetary return.

B-2 visa, for tourists and patients seeking medical treatment.

B-1/B-2 extension visa for existing B-1 and B-2 visa holders.

C-1 transit visa for intermediate U.S. stay during travel to different destination country, valid B-1 or B-2 holders do not require C-1.

E-1 Treaty trader visa, for non U.S. citizens with business transactions with U.S. traders, can work in the U.S, 2 years validity, requires further renewal.

E-2 Treaty Investor visa for non U.S. businessmen who have invested in a business in U.S. (50% or more of the total of the investment), 2 years validity, can work in the U.S. Spouse of E-2 visa holder can also work.

E-3 Visa for Australians exclusively meant for Australians, 2 year validity requires further renewal. Spouse and children require E-3D dependent visas to qualify to work.

F-1 Student visa for foreign students to take up education in the U.S. can travel freely within the United States with this visa. May further get H1-B if sponsored by a prospective U.S. employer.

H-1B work visa is available for skilled graduate professionals, 3 years validity, and maximum 6 years extension.

H-2B Work visa for nonimmigrant temporary skilled and unskilled workers.

H-3 Trainee visa for people coming for job training, H-4 visa is given for spouse and children; however H-4 holders do not qualify to work.

J-1 Exchange Visitor visa for people who participate in small courses, research training or cultural activities.

K-1 Fiancee / Fiance visa for prospective spouses of American Citizens and K-2 visa is given for children of prospective spouses.

L-1 intracompany work visa for non U.S. employees being transferred on the job to U.S.

Nurse work visas for Registered Nurses.

O-1, O-2, O-3 Extraordinary ability visas for individuals with thrilling skill sets in education, invention, sports or fine arts.

P-1, P-2, P-3, P-4 visas are for athletes artists and entertainers. P series visas are given to an entire team also.

R-1 religious visa authorized legal religious workers.

TN Nafta Work visa for temporary workers from Canada and Mexico only. The spouse and children should get TD visa but are not permitted to work.
